The Furina scene from Imsayaa has the males left arm staying in place when it should disappear, and females right arm stays in place instead of getting pulled back. I've tried doing the t-pose method and tried messing with the nodes, but I don't know how nodes work so that didn't really work out.

unless you learn the basics of how the software works, someone giving you the answer isn't going to help you beyond this one instance. you need to understand why it's not working by understanding how it works in the first place.
i don't know what a furina is. have you swapped characters? are their body proportions different than furina? if they're smaller in height that can lead to arms and elbows snapping into rigid extremes or being misplaced because the smaller character's arms aren't long enough to reach where they're supposed to be, same with their partner not being able to reach them, or some other variation of that. try adjusting the hand and elbow positions or disabling (not deleting) those nodes to see if the animation changes accordingly. then you'll know what to adjust. again, join the discord, read the guides. there are so many resources there.
